Dr. Emily Eisenhower

Optometric Physician

Dr. Emily Eisenhower joined Vision Source of Newport in May 2017. She is from Newport and attended Newport Grammar School and Cocke County High School. Dr. Eisenhower graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Public Health. Dr. Eisenhower was a member of the Roan Scholars Leadership Program while at East Tennessee State University, and she was the first person from Newport to ever be selected for this high honor. Dr. Eisenhower graduated Cum Laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She received the Clinical Sciences Award each year and was recognized as the Outstanding Clinician of the Year for her class of approximately 130 students in her final year of optometry school. Dr. Eisenhower completed several clinical rotations while pursuing her Doctorate of Optometry, which included an internship at The Eye Center in Memphis, TN, a private practice in Goodlettsville, TN, and an internship at SouthEast Eye Specialists in Knoxville, TN. Dr. Eisenhower is a member of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, the American Optometric Association, and the Smoky Mountain Optometric Society. In October of 2020, She was elected as Secretary-Treasurer of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cheering on the ETSU Bucs and Tennessee Vols, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs.
